TRI- The Resource Inc.

TRI purchased these rental units years ago in hopes to rehabilitate the buildings, and be able to provide affordable year-round housing for low income families. 

-That's exactly what we were able to accomplish-

We have been able to offer an affordable rental to dozens of individuals and families for 10+ years now, some tenants have been able to come into our rentals, turn around and leave with the opportunity to buy or rent a home. Some tenants have developed a healthy long-term relationship with TRI and continue to have access to an affordable rental. 

TRI is consistently looking for ways to expand our resources to reach more individuals and families in the community.

New Bedford, MA

  • There are five two bedroom one and a half bath apartments for incomes at or below 60% percent of median income at a rental rate not to exceed 60% of High Home rent.

  • There are two market rate apartments one two bedroom one and a half bath and one three bedroom one and a half bath. This is a walk up building with no elevator access.

  • One of the apartments is has been outfitted for a hearing impaired tenant as well as one Community Based Housing (CBH) Unit.

  • The 3 units are comprised of a one bedroom, a two bedroom, and a three bedroom apartment.

  • The apartments are for families and individuals earning between 50-60% of the area median income.

  • All units have energy saving features.

  • The housing complex consists of a three bedroom single family home and 4 one bedroom apartments.

  • One of the one bedroom units is accessible. Rents range from $700- $950 (per month) soon to be $725 - $975 (excluding utilities).

  • The apartments and single family home are for families and individuals earning 80% or less of the area median income.
